Automated line and powder booths
Powder is applied electrostatically to the prepared part and then cured in an oven. Our robotic line and controlled curing system support a stable, repeatable process for series production. Two separate powder booths are also available for selected jobs.
Size and weight limits
We always check the part shape and hanging options. The figures below apply to the automated line; the booths have smaller limits that are assessed case by case.
- Recommended pass-through profile: 700 × 1200 mm
- For a 3000 mm part: about 800 mm high and 200 mm wide
- Total part weight: up to 125 kg when spread over several hangers
- One hanger: maximum 80 kg
Preparation to match the required protection
For standard applications, the powder line uses iron phosphating. For higher demands, parts can receive zinc phosphating on the KTL line without a KTL coat. The most demanding systems can combine a KTL base with a powder topcoat. The complete pretreatment uses Henkel technology.
- Iron phosphate → powder coating
- Zinc phosphate → powder coating
- Zinc phosphate → KTL → powder topcoat
Colour, gloss and texture
We coat in standard RAL colours and other colours from the customer specification. Powder type, texture and gloss can be selected to suit the part. We use coatings from established manufacturers.
Hanging and masking
Part geometry affects powder access and layer consistency. Before production, we agree the hanging points, masking, visible faces and areas that must stay uncoated for assembly or electrical contact.
